AOTC has an established Electrical Motor Services Division, specializing in the provision of fully qualified, time served personnel to offer a wide range of services either at AOTC facility or on client premises either onshore or offshore. Prominent services include 24 Hour Emergency rewinding and repairing, on-site testing and services, alignment and vibration recording, AC & DC motor repair, generators testing and repair, laser alignment, dynamic balancing, modifications & redesigns.

The Electrical Motor division aims to target higher voltage motors 2200KW to 11KVA, establishing capabilities to test, rewind and repair and inclusive of VPI, 12ftx12ftx12ft oven. The division has applied for IECex certification for repairing of explosion proof motors. A further extension is planned to conduct the Low Voltage Motor rewind/repair services in Sohar to cater for the immediate needs of the local industry in the area.

We offer emergency and scheduled maintenance service, as well as on-site testing and preventative maintenance. We also provide a Motor Management Program (MMP) that safely stores and offers your critical spare parts, performs regular and scheduled stress tests, rotates high-use equipment, conducts regular megger tests, and documents everything you need to know about your motor in a regular report.

We now use inverter duty wire and insulation materials as a standard, assuring that all rewinds are compatible for use with Variable Frequency Drives. We also offer AC/DC motor repair for all motors up to 1500 horsepower, including pump, brake, and slip ring motors. With more than 2,000 motors regularly in stock, we can quickly address any repair needs on the fly, and demonstrate our extensive expertise on real products.
